Pre-wash
Cotton knit is loops of cotton, not a woven sheet. When it gets wet and then dries, those loops can tighten, which is why an untreated tee often comes back from the laundry a different size than the one you bought. We pre-wash the cotton so that shrink happens before it ships. The slightly oversized fit is cut into the pattern, so order your regular size.
That is true across the lineup, not one graphic. Most of our graphic tees sit at 200gsm. Some short sleeves go heavier. The Vintage Washed Tee is about 300gsm, and the long sleeves sit at 300gsm as well. All of them are 100% combed, ring-spun cotton, vintage washed so the black comes out faded on purpose. Vintage wash
A vintage wash softens the cotton and fades the color slightly. Small differences from piece to piece are normal, so two washed-black shirts may not look identical. After a summer of heat and laundry, that gap is more obvious at the collar, the underarms, and wherever the shirt sat folded. The Vintage Washed Tee takes the broken-in look further: blank cotton at about 300gsm, no front graphic, meant to feel worn-in from day one.

200gsm is a heavyweight tee, not a sweatshirt. It holds a chest print without collapsing, and it still works in heat. The Sad Meow Tee is one of those 200gsm graphic tees. At about 300gsm you get denser cotton and more warmth: the Vintage Washed Tee as a heavy short sleeve, and pieces like the Godzilla Meow long sleeve for the heavier silhouette. Screen print
Screen prints sit on that cotton. Hand-pulled ink starts dense and should soften with the garment instead of cracking off. That holds up better on 200gsm and 300gsm than on a thin blank, because the panel stays more stable after a summer of washes.
Care
Wash everything cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle with similar colors. Hang dry, or use a low tumble. A hot dryer can streak the fade and heat-damage the print.
